STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

 

We join together as members of the Alamogordo Forum for the expressed purpose of maintaining an informed, well-positioned resource group to study and promote issues that are critical to the community's best interest.

 

The Forum supports public policy that benefits the people of the Otero County region by:

• bringing together a wide assortment of public, government and private sector leaders
  through regularly scheduled luncheons
• encouraging the awareness of current events and the formation of public policy
• promoting educational, cultural and economic development
• working to sustain established economic engines
• seeking opportunity for diversification

The Forum members:

• are either the Chief Executive Officer or Principal of an enterprise actively transacting
   business in the Otero County, New Mexico region
• attend regularly scheduled Forum luncheons and meetings
• are each members of a Forum committee actively engaged and focused on a specific
   issue of critical importance to the community
•  have direct, one-to-one access to policy makers on the local, state and national
   levels
